Summary: Dakota Creek Industries is looking for a Structural Project Engineer to provide support to the Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will possess: a positive attitude; team approach; superior written and verbal communications; strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize; ability to maintain confidential information; be detail-oriented; ability to work independently; and have advanced experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Duties: maintain company protocols for confidential and proprietary information; create part files necessary for accurate construction of marine vessel; manage, organize and maintain nesting files per project protocols; prepare and deliver part files for vendor processing; manage, organize and maintain part files per project protocols; review and track construction timelines to effectively maintain part schedules; other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
• High school graduation or equivalent.

• Two years’ experience in the Marine Industry.

• AutoCAD 2D proficiency required.

• Advanced experience with the Microsoft Office Suite required.

• Nupas Cadmatic Hull software proficiency is preferred.

• Nestix software proficiency preferred.

• SolidWorks software proficiency preferred.

• Rhino 3D modeler software preferred.

• Assist with vessel ship checks during construction.

• Ability to understand vessel structure, arrangement drawings and ship structure is required.

• Possess strong communication, prioritization and organizational skills.

Our team-based approach empowers staff to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary group. The Project/Procurement Assistant will be working closely with a team of experienced Production Design Marine Engineers.
