& REPAIR WORK:
- Build and add 60’ midsection complete with all structures from the keel to the focsle deck, including weather bulkheads and interior bulkheads for various compartments
- Installation of new fish meal processing plant
- Provided fish oil storage tanks
- Provided fish meal storage cargo hold
- Removed and replaced main engine, reduction gear, shafting, stern tube housing, structural stern tube and propeller shaft
- Refurbished and reinstalled existing nozzle and reduction gear-driven generator
240’ to 300’ Aleutian Spray Fisheries Trawler
In 1989, DCI completed the construction of the C/P STARBOUND as a 240’ DNV classed factory trawler for the Bering Sea. The hull of the vessel is a transversely framed, welded steel construction designed by Guido Perla & Associates (GPA). In the fall of 2015, DCI provided a new 60’ mid body and lengthened the C/P STARBOUND to a finished length of 300’. Haul out commenced November 2015 and was re-launched in March 2016.
